Service Description

Consumer Unit Upgrade is based on the assumption that the existing wiring is in a satisfactory condition so that the new work will comply with BS7671. Should extra work become apparent upon working or testing due to the condition of the wiring or through the poor condition of the building fabrication/structure, then the quoted price will become subject to review in order to enable work carried out to be of a satisfactory standard to comply with wiring regulations BS7671 and/or relevant building regulations. *It is recommended that an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is conducted prior to a consumer change to ensure there are no hidden problems. A fuse box replacement can take around 1.5 - 2.5 days to complete and is a complex job, which is why it falls on the higher end of the price scale. You can expect to pay only £495.00 under our price fixed offer for a 10 x way Fuse box or consumer unit. The price includes the upgrading of your gas and water earthing (MAX distance 2 meters). The customer will clear the access to the consumer unit. WHAT YOU WILL GET? In order for a consumer to be replaced or upgraded please be aware that a Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) which is deem as a PASS or SATISFACTORY must be available for the property the consumer is to be replaced or upgraded. If the property is deemed "unsatisfactory" or a 'fail" from a conducted Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) but you do not want to proceed with the legally necessary works and you have booked a "EICR and Consumer Unit Upgrade" package then you will be charged £180 for the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and a £250 day rate fee for our electrician.
