Calculation: number of fittings × difference in watts × annual operating hours ÷ 1,000, then multiplied by the electricity unit rate. It assumes unchanged fitting numbers, operating hours and tariff. It excludes controls, maintenance, tariff changes and finance costs. Keep the VAT basis consistent between your electricity rate and project cost; the calculator does not adjust VAT. BES must survey the site to assess lighting suitability, light levels, glare, emergency lighting and installation requirements.

Discuss your lighting projectDo you replace existing 600 x 600 LED ceiling panels?
Yes. BES can review failed, flickering, dim or discoloured LED panels in office suspended ceilings and quote suitable replacements. Send the site postcode, approximate quantity, photos and any accessible model information. The panel, driver, supply and controls are checked before deciding what needs replacing; a flicker does not establish the cause.
Will any 600 x 600 LED panel fit my ceiling?
The nominal ceiling-module size alone is not enough to choose a replacement. BES checks actual fitting dimensions, mounting, light output and colour, driver and control compatibility, and whether the fitting has an emergency-lighting function. Do not remove fittings or covers to obtain photos; use existing accessible information.
Will replacing an existing LED panel reduce my electricity bill?
Not necessarily. A like-for-like LED replacement may use a similar amount of electricity. Its purpose may be to restore reliable, consistent lighting. Any energy-cost comparison needs the actual existing and proposed wattages and operating hours; no saving is assumed simply because a panel is replaced.
Can you replace old fluorescent fittings with LED panels?
Yes. BES can survey fluorescent ceiling fittings and propose suitable LED panels or other luminaires. Ceiling dimensions, wiring condition, light distribution, glare, controls and any emergency-lighting function need checking before specifying a replacement. A new fitting is not always a direct swap.
How much does an office lighting upgrade cost?
The quote depends on fitting numbers and specification, ceiling and access conditions, existing circuits, emergency-lighting requirements, working hours and disposal. Send photos and an approximate quantity for an initial review; BES confirms the scope and price before work is authorised.
Can the installation be planned outside office hours?
Tell us your access windows and when the office must remain operational. Evening, weekend or phased working can be discussed and included in the quotation, subject to availability. Any shutdowns and restricted areas are agreed beforehand.
How much electricity could LED lighting save?
That depends on the existing total fitting wattage, replacement wattage and operating hours. Compare those figures with your actual electricity unit rate using the calculator on this page. It is an illustration, not a guaranteed saving or a quotation; controls and occupancy can change the outcome.
Will a low-glare panel make the whole office compliant?
A product's glare rating alone does not establish that the installed room is suitable. The layout, mounting height, surfaces, screen positions, illuminance and emergency lighting all matter. BES reviews the requirements before agreeing the lighting proposal.
What happens to the old fluorescent tubes and fittings?
Disposal responsibilities are included in the agreed scope. Fluorescent lamps require appropriate waste handling, so the quotation should identify who removes and disposes of lamps and fittings and what records are supplied.
